Short Bio

Prof. Elon Eisenberg is the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is a Professor of Neurology and Pain Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and holds the Otto Barth Family Academic Chair in Biomedical Science.

Prof. Eisenberg graduated from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University in Israel. He completed a residency in Neurology, at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, and Neurology – Pain Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.

He has been the director of the Institute of Pain Medicine at Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel, the president of the Israeli Pain Association and a board member of the European Pain Federation (EFIC).

Prof. Eisenberg has published about two-hundred articles, book chapters and other manuscripts in various areas of pain including neuropathic pain, CRPS, cancer-related pain, opioids and cannabinoids.
