Basic training (MD, PhD) at the Technion and a FulbrightFishbach postdoctoral fellow at Brandeis University (Mass., USA). Returned to the Technion (1993, Alon Fellow). Currently a professor at the Technion faculties of Medicine (main affiliation) and Electrical Engineering (secondary affiliation). Over the years headed the Physiology & Biophysics department (Medicine) and the Rothschild Scholars Technion Program for Excellence, and served as Dean of Medicine. Technion Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPA) as of 2019.
