Short Bio

Ido Roll is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion. Previously, he was the Director of the Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Ido studies how interactive learning environments support students in becoming better scientists. His research utilizes a variety of methodologies from the fields of education, learning analytics, cognitive science, and human-computer interaction. Ido graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a Steering Committee member of Learning at Scale, an Executive Committee member of the International Artificial Intelligence in Education Society, and the Chair of the PISA Innovative Domains Expert Group.
