Short Bio

Dr. Or Aleksandrowicz is an Assistant Professor in the Technion’s Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning and the head of the Faculty’s Big Data in Architectural Research Lab. He graduated from the Azrieli School of Architecture at Tel Aviv University in 2002 and holds a master’s degree in Building Science and Technology from TU Wien (2012) and a doctorate in Technical Sciences from TU Wien (2015). He joined the Technion in 2019.

Dr. Aleksandrowicz is a trained architect who has conducted research in diverse fields, including urban and building climatology and the historical evolution of building technologies. Part of his current research work focuses on the development of methods, indices, and tools for outdoor shade quantification, alongside studies on climate-related human behaviour in urban settings and human interaction with building systems.
