As a hub for researchers and industry, we utilize a variety of instruments to bridge the gap between basic research and real world applications.
We offer acceleration and maturation programs based on industry funded research and applied research funds, as well as investments in existing or new start-up companies from early stages to Round B, through various Technion funds.
The Technion offers a variety of investment avenues for supporting and establishing companies based on the
intellectual property of Technion researchers and graduates. From early stage support through the Technion
DRIVE Accelerator, to continued investments through Seed/Round A designated funds such as AMIT,
the Technion R&D foundation (TRDF) or the Technion Investment Opportunities Fund (TIOF).
T3 promotes streamlined ideation processes that enable translational research and knowledge transfers by guiding
application submissions for R&D funding programs, including Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) programs application.
Serves as a bridge between basic and applied research and is focused on the stage of transformation and realization of basic research achievements into technologies with commercial application.
Bridges the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, enabling significant milestones in order for the company to sign a commercialization agreement with the research institution.
Encourages the transfer of technological knowledge accumulated in academia for the use in industry, by creating collaborations between Israeli companies and academic research groups.
Promotes military/defense and commercial R&D of dual use technologies, which on the one hand constitute a contribution to national security, and on the other hand possess financial potential.
Development of generic groundbreaking technologies, in global fields, via knowledge sharing and cooperation among consortium members (industrial enterprises and academic research institutions) which operate in similar or synergetic fields.
This program boosts applied (and basic) multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research in Israeli academia, in order to preserve global scientific advantages and advance the local innovation ecosystem towards the field of Bio-Convergence.
