Short Bio

Dr. Dana Solav is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Technion, and the head of the Biomechanical Interfaces group. She obtained a PhD from the same faculty (2016) and was a postdoctoral researcher at the MIT Media Lab (2017-2020), where she developed novel prosthetic devices for amputees.
Her research group studies the biomechanics of human movement and function. By developing and applying advanced numerical and experimental methods, they study the biomechanical interface between the human body and biomedical devices such as prosthetics and orthotics, and develop patient-specific devices aiming to improve comfort, health, and function.
