Professor Baruch Fischer holds the Max Knoll Chair in Electro-Optics and Electronics, endowed by Benjamin Kazan.
With the Electrical Engineering Department of the Technion, since 1983.
Dean of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Technion, 1999-2004.
Head of the Micro-Electronics Research Center, Technion, 1993-2001.
Head of the Opto-Electronics Research Center, Technion, 2008-.
Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University, Ramat-Gan, Israel, 1980. During his Ph.D. studies he spent a year, 1978, at MRL, the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Weizmann Post-Doctoral Fellow at Caltech, the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, 1981-1983.
Fellow of the Optical Society of America.
Topical Editor for Optics Letters, 1996-2002.
