Short Bio

Dr. Amit Meller is a Full Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Meller’s research is focused on single-molecule biophysics and the development of novel biosensors for molecular detection. He is among the pioneers of nanopore biosensing and nanopore DNA sequencing technologies from his lab at the Rowland Institute at Harvard University. In parallel his lab has developed single-molecule optical sensing methods and live cells imaging methods for delineation of various bimolecular processes.
