The Technology

A novel circuit design comprised of an Isolator which isolates TX-> RX signal and passes the TX signal to the ANT port with a -3dB loss. Tests done on actual chips has shown improved isolation compared to all known state of the art circuits. The structures were fabricated in CMOS 65nm TSMC and gave an isolation of more than 50dB narrow band and 40dB for 10GHz separation. The insertion loss of the circuit is about 4dB and tuning elements added to it allow it to cope with process variations.

Advantages

  • Optimized design topology that can give high isolation and still maintain minimal loss

Applications and Opportunities

  • RF Wireless communication (WiFi, 5G etc.)
